Dear friend of The Anne Frank Center USA:

It is my pleasure to enclose the Anne Frank USA 2008 Annual Report. As you will see, 2008 was an important year for The Anne Frank Center in terms of collaborating with a number of renowned New York City cultural organizations.

Together with such institutions as PEN American Center, Stephen Sondheim’s Young Playwrights, the Vineyard Theater, Behind the Book, the New York City Department of Education, and many human rights activists, artists, writers and filmmakers, we were able to implement a variety of educational and public programs to a growing audience.

School groups visiting the Center grew 150 percent over the previous year and totaled more than 2,000 students. Public events related to our exhibitions in our Crosby Street Gallery drew new audiences twice a month. Sixteen of our exhibitions traveled to venues across the country.
