Education

The Anne Frank Center offers a wide range of education programs that allow visitors to explore Anne’s personal story alongside the history of WWII and the Holocaust, and the need to identify and challenge prejudice.  Program offerings include on-site school programs, educator workshops, interactive arts workshops in our gallery, literacy programs, interdisciplinary programs for school groups, and evening lecture series. Individual empowerment and personal choice are central themes throughout AFC programming, as it is essential for every member of society to recognize the importance of personal responsibility in confronting prejudice and to actively promote values of diversity and social justice.  Through examining the progression of historical events that lead up to such tragedies as slavery, the Holocaust, wars and currently, terrorism, our programs will help ensure that we continue to help our audience become well-equipped to act as leaders in challenging discrimination, intolerance, and bias-related violence in a positive and constructive way.
