Noreen Brand is Director of Education for the Illinois Holocaust Museum & Education Center in Skokie, Illinois. She is responsible for the development of the education programs and initiatives for the Museum. Recently, Noreen moved to the Chicago area after a twelve-year tenure with the Florida Holocaust Museum in St. Petersburg. There, she was a part of the opening team and served as the Director of Curatorial Affairs, responsible for the oversight of all exhibitions, education, and public programs. Noreen served as a teacher trainer in the Czech Republic as a representative of the Task Force for International Cooperation on Holocaust Education Remembrance and Research.
Noreen is a member of the Florida Commissioner of Education’s Task Force on Holocaust Education, the Association of Holocaust Organizations, as well as a presenter and instructor at numerous international, national and state conferences and organizations. Noreen earned her B.S. from the University of Cincinnati, an M.S. from State University College of New York at Buffalo, and post-Master’s work in reading and writing instruction from the University of South Florida. Noreen is thrilled to be a part of the opening team of the Illinois Holocaust Museum & Education Center.
