ALLAN JANOFF is the owner and CEO of The Crystal Plaza in Livingston, NJ, and is involved in numerous philanthropic activities. He is the National Chairman of the Israel Bonds Platinum Society, and the immediate Past Chair of Major Gifts for the UJC Metrowest. He is a Vice President of the Daughters of Israel, and the Home for Jewish Elderly and Disabled. Janoff also serves on the Boards of JESPY House, Jewish Community Housing Corporation, the New Jersey Jewish News, AJC, the Winston School, the Darcy School, and Friends of the IDF. He is also on the Board of Managers of the American Cancer Society, the Essex County Mental Health Association, and the Children of Chernobyl. In addition, Janoff supports the CCFA and Marfan’s Foundation very actively, and was a founder of the NJ Kosher Caterer’s Association.
Mr. Janoff has donated the full services of his Crystal Plaza for numerous events, offering modest financial arrangements to make it possible for foundations and not-for-profit organizations to raise funds at the lavish facility. In April, 2004, he hosted a “Prom of Your Dreams” for survivors of the Holocaust. This formal prom for local area Holocaust Survivors (118 women and 81 men) was created to give them an experience that they were denied during their struggle to survive World War II.
